Abstract

PURPOSE:To sense the leakage of gas accurately by a gas leakage detector which has a whistle sounding only in case of leakage where the dynamic pressure of the gas is low. CONSTITUTION:A leakage detector is connected between pipe 1a and 1b by using a lead-in pipe 2 and a waste pipe 3. The lead-in pipe 2 and waste pipe 3 are provided with an air room 4, wherein a sliding shaft 5 having a freely slidable flange engaged is stuck. The flange 6 holding a whistle 7 is pressed against the side of the lead-in pipe 2 by a spring 8 and when gas is still or when the dynamic pressure of the gas is low, the side-plate internal surface 4a of the air room 4 on the side of the lead-in pipe 2 and the flange surface 6a come into close contact with each other. If leakage occurs on the down side of the detector, the gas starts flowing to pass through the inside of the whistle 7, which then sounds, letting an inspector know the occurrence of the leakage and its position.
