PURPOSE:To heighten the effect of lubrication and cooling, by connecting oil supply holes and oil drain holes to each other through grooves to surely supply lubricating oil in between the inside surface of the boss of a piston and a wrist pin. CONSTITUTION:Oil supply holes 24, 24 are opened through boss sections 17, 17 at the side of the interior of a crankcase so that the holes extend to boss hole sections 19, 19. The boss sections 17, 17 are also provided with oil drain holes 25, 25 opposite the oil supply holes 24, 24. Grooves 26, 26 are provided on the inside surfaces of the boss hole sections 19, 19 so that the groovs extend endlessly in the circumferential direction and communicate with the oil supply holes 24, 24 and the oil drain holes 25, 25 and connect them to each other. As a result, lubricating oil is surely supplied in between the boss hole 19 and the wrist pin 15 along the total circumference.
