Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the exhaust gas from an incinerator free of smoke and offensive ordors by providing the exhaust gas passage leading from the combustion chamber with a microwave plasma zone so that the exhaust gas led through the aforementioned plasma zone, through resolution of smoke particles and bad-smelling components contained therein, may be let out free of smoke and offensive odors. CONSTITUTION:Combustion air and microwaves are introduced into the combustion chamber 1 through the waveguide 2. The waste D placed in the furnace, when subjected to the microwaves, begins to burn with increase in its temperature. The exhaust gas which is produced with increase in temperature of the waste D, while burning again with increase in its temperature, is led through the exhaust pipe 4 to be introduced into the top of the outer cylinder 6 of the smoke-removing, deodorizing device 17. From the end of th waveguide 8 on the bottom of the outer cylinder 6 is blown combustion air into the inner pipe 7 so that the exhaust gas from the outer cylinder 6 is guided by the guide cylinder 16 to be led into the inner pipe 7. This exhaust gas is then blown against the plasma zone P. While passing through this plasma zone, the exhaust gas has its smoke particles and bad-smelling components resolved to be discharged free of smoke and offensive odors.
