CONSTITUTION:An org. binder is added to a compd. consisting, by weight, of 11-65% chromium oxide, 10-37% graphite and the balance 1 or >=2 of kinds of alumina, mullite, zirconium, silica, metallic silicon and silicon carbide, and after the mixture is molded by a rubber press, it is reduced and calcined, whereby an immersion nozzle for continuous casting is obtd. According to the required corrosion resistance and spalling resistance, 1 or >=2 kinds of alumina, mullite, silica zirconium, metallic silicon and silicon carbide are used in combination.
