Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve space factor of a solar battery module of high voltage rating for power system by a method wherein field relief conductors are fitted to the sides of solar battery elements facing the grounded frame and potential gradient at the edges of the element is reduced. CONSTITUTION:Field relief conductors 10 are fitted to two sides, facing a metal grounded frame 3, of solar battery elements 8 arranged at the corners of a module cell and potential gradient at the edges of the two sides of the elements 8 is reduced. In case of elements 9 in the module which are arranged at the parts facing the frame 3 but other than the corners, the field relief conductors 10 are fitted to those sides facing the frame 3. Cylindrical conductors or mesh conductors made of highly conductive metal such as copper or aluminum are used as these conductor 10.
