Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent giving uncomfortable feeling at the time of defrosting by activating defrosting circuit only when room temperature rises above a set value within a set defrosting time and when an outdoor heat exchanger reaches the starting time for defrosting thereby activating defrosting operation only when defrosting conditions are satisfied. CONSTITUTION:A comparator IC1 for detecting the room temperature, the first time IC2 for setting defrosting time range, the second timer IC3 that controls the time of defrosting, a flip-flop IC4 for the starting of defrosting and a comparator IC5 for detecting the temperature of an outdoor heat exchanger are provided as an electronic circuit which controls relays RY1-RY4, which activate an indoor fan, an outdoor fan, a compressor and a solenoid valve. When the room temperature exceeds a set value within a set defrosting time and the outdoor heat exchanger reaches the temperature for the start of defrosting, RY2 and RY4 close and RY3 opens starting the defrosting operation. When the end of defrosting is detected or when a set time is elapsed after the start of defrosting, the defrosting operation is terminated.
