Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the pumping loss and the abrupt variation of the output torque, by holding the suction stopper valve at the full-open, semi-open and the full-close while the E.G.R. valve at the full-open and the full-close when the operation of an engine which performs the split operation in accordance to the load will transfer from the light load to the heavy load or from the heavy load to the light load. CONSTITUTION:When an engine will transfer from the light load to the heavy load operation, the solenoid of an exchange valve 45 is actuated to conduct the negative pressure chamber 34 to the atmosphere, thereby a diaphragm 32 is moved to semi-open the suction stopper valve 26. When said valve 26 is held temporalily at the semi-open position, an exchange switch 29 will contact with a fixed contact 51 and an electromagnetic exchange valve 59 is actuated by the connection signal. Since the negative pressure chamber 56 of the E.G.R. valve 54 will conduct to the atmosphere, when the diaphragm 55 will move and the valve body 61 will fully close the E.G.R. path 53, the switch 63 is connected to the contact 65. Consequently the electromagnetic exchange valve 43 is actuated by the connection signal and the fuel injection valve 17a will start the injection. When the exchange valve 43 is actuated the negative pressure chamber 33 will by conducted to the atmosphere thereby the diaphragm 31 will move gradually to the negative pressure chamber 34 thus to fully open the suction stopper valve 26.
