Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain a constant sitting posture at all times irrespective of application of cornering operation by connecting a movable member of a seat, which can be rocked in both right and left directions, to a steering shaft and by converting the rotation of the steering into the movement of the movable member. CONSTITUTION:A seating member 4 of a seat can be rocked in both right and left directions by a shaft 5. The rotation of a steering 21 is converted into the movement of a movable member 7, which is movablly installed on a base 9, through a rotary wheel 2 for a shaft 1, wire 3, pulley 13, transmission mechanism 30 and drive wire 3'. Claws 10 at the ends of the movable member 7 and stoppers 11 below the seating member 4 constitute a rock device. By the rotation of the steering 21, the movable member 7 moves, by unlocking the claws 10 from stoppers 11, the seating member is rocked, providing a constant and stable sitting positive at all times.
