Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce the titled molded item excellent in the weather-resistance, by layering an unsaturated polyester resin and glass fibers on a specified acrylic film composite body that has been molded to have a prescribed contoured shape followed by hardening, and removing a carrier film.
CONSTITUTION: The carrier film 1 which would not be dissolved in stylene but is thermoformable and the polyalkyl methacrylate film 3 which will be dissolved or swelled in stylene are layered one upon the other with an adhesive 2 therebetween which will adhere feebly to the film but strongly to the film 3 to obtain the acrylic film composite body 4. Then after this composite body 4 is thermoformed into a desirably contoured shape, the composite body 4 is put in a mold 6 for molding FRP with the film 1 in contact with the mold surface, the glass fibers 7 that have been impregnated with an unsaturated polyester resin half polymer containing stylene are laid on the film 3, it is polymerized to cure to bond the film 3 and the glass fibers 7, it is removed from the mold 6, and the film 1 and the adhesive 2 are removed.
