Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct a machining error from the thermal displacement and improve machining accuracy, by mounting a measuring head to a spindle head and attachment spindle and automatically measuring the machining reference of reference blocks. CONSTITUTION:An adaptor F is provided to a measuring head 1, and automatic exchange, between the spindle of a spindle head A and attachment B and the storage unit H of a tool magazine G, is performed similarly to a tool E. If a measuring probe 1a is contacted to a reference block D, three switches in the measuring head 1 are instantaneously opened, and pulse voltage is output from a transmitter 2, transmitted, converted into light of infrared rays or the like by its transmitting sensor 3 and transmitted. In this way, a contact signal transmitted from the measuring probe 1a is fed to a data processor J almost without time delay. The data processor J reads coordinate values of each measurement reference scale SX, SY, SZ of X, Y, Z with timing of this signal.
