Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve demodulation by only one photoelectric transducer by transmitting >=2 electric signals, differing in occupation frequency band, by using a single photodetecting element. CONSTITUTION:Signals from (n) units of signal sources 1-1-1-n having different occupation frequency bands drive (n) units of corresponding light emitting elements 2-1-2-n to generate light signals, which are guided to (n) units of optical fiber transmission lines 3-1-3-n. The light signals transmitted through those optical fiber transmission lines 3-1-3-n are coupled by a single photodetecting element on a reception side. The photodetecting element 4 transduces the inputs into elelctric signals, which are amplified by a receiving amplifier 5 at a time, so that an (n)-number of signals are obtained from the same electric signal output terminal 6.
