Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently remove high concn. malodorant in a rational process by a method wherein an adsorbing medium reaching a saturation point thereof by high concn. malodorant is regenerated by aerobic biological treatment and, after regeneration, the regenerated adsorbing medium is returned to a malodorant component concentrating apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: High concn. malodorant 8 is adsorbed by an adsorbing medium such as activated carbon to be converted to low concn. malodorant but the medium reaching adsorbing saturation is oxidized and decomposited in aerobic biological treatment in a biologica treatment apparatus 4 through transfer pipes 14, 15 to be regenerated therein. The regenerated medium is again sent to an adsorbing medium malodorant component concentrating apparatus 9 through transfer pipes 16, 17 to be reused therein. As described above, high concn. malodorant component is effectively removed in a rational process and cost reduction is attained by reusing the adsorbing medium.
