Abstract

PURPOSE: A coating material for a blackboard, prepared by dispersing glass powder having a specific particle diameter in a film-forming main elementary resin and an extender pigment, capable of easily removing chalk powder, etc. attached to the surface of the blackboard without remaining a mark, e.g. a letter, by dustless chalk, and having improved abrasion resistance.
CONSTITUTION: (A) An extender pigment is mixed with (A) a film-forming main elementary resin to give a particle diameter of preferably 30W60μ. 15W100pts. wt., based on 100pts.wt. total amount of the solid content in the components (A) and component (B), one or more glass powders consisting of glass beads having a particle diameter ≤80μ, glass flakes having a thickness of 1W7μ and a particle diameter ≤50μ and glass fibers having a diameter ≤20μ and a length ≤100μ are mixed with the resultant dispersion. The resultant mixture is then dispersed to a particle diameter of 40W70μ, and a solvent is added thereto to adjust the viscosity thereof and give the aimed coating material.
