Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure operability when an electric power incorporated in a cartridge is consumed or when a cartridge having no incorporated power source is used, by turning off the incorporated power source of a cartridge by operating a switching means by the connection of a power source incorporated in a light source device. CONSTITUTION:The operation part 2 of an endoscope 1 is provided with an eye piece part 4, and a universal cord 5 connected. A connecter 6 at the terminal of the cord is connected to the socket 8 of a light source device 7, and the main body 9 of a self-processing camera is connected detachably to the eyepiece part 4. When a film cartridge 19 is equipped to the main body, the terminal 17 of the main body is connected to the normally closed terminal 22 of a relay contact 21 to supply electric power from a battery 20 to the main body. When a power source incorporated in a light source device is connected, on the other hand, a relay 27 is energized to connect the contact 21 to a normally open terminal 24, so the battery 20 is turned off while electric power is supplied from the light source to the main body.
