Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain flat discharge performance and increased shelf life by adding either one of metal powder selected from zinc, copper, aluminium, and magnesium to a positive black mix in an organic electrolyte battery using iron sulfide as a positive electrode active material. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode 1 using iron sulfide as a main positive active material, and a separator 6 are accommodated in a positive electrode can 7. A negative electrode 3 comprising lithium plate is pressed via stainless steel net 5 on the inner surface of a negative electrode can 4. These cans 7, 4 are sealed with an intervening ring gasket 8 to form an organic electrolyte battery. In this positive electrode, either one of metal powder selected from zinc, copper, aluminum, and magnesium is added to the positive electrode black mix of iron sulfide.
