PURPOSE:To enable to increase and decrease the quantity of solar rays to be collected by a solar heat collector and at the same time to protect its solar-ray collecting surface against sand or the like or to shield the same from solar rays, by providing a solar-ray controlling plate or plates capable of controlling the quantity of solar rays to be collected, in the manner that it can cover the solar- ray collecting surface of the solar heat collector. CONSTITUTION:In a solar heat collector consisting of a glass window 1, reflector mirror 2, heat collecting plate 3, heat-insulating plate 4, etc., plate-like members 5a, 5b respectively having mirror surfaces 7a, 7b facing a solar-ray receiving surface 1 are fixed to the upper end B and the lower end D of the window 1 serving as a solar-ray receiving surface, in the manner that they can be turned pivotally by means of hinges 6a, 6b. That is, since a solar-ray controlling plate or plates capable of controlling the quantity of solar rays to be collected is provided in a fixed type heat collector, it is enabled to increase and decrease the quantity of solary rays to be collected by the solar heat collector and at the same time to shield the solar rays and to protect the light receiving surface by covering the same entirely with the solar-ray controlling plates.
