Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive recorder with a simple construction which is capable of recording a high quality color image by providing a heat generating section, a heat transfer ink ribbon being divided into color belts of several colors with roughly the same width as that of a recording paper, a ribbon feeder, a heat generation driving control circuit and a paper feeder. CONSTITUTION:Forward and reverse feeding of a recording paper 1 is made possible with rollers 2 and 4 at a fixed tension. A heat transfer ink ribbon 6 is roughly the same in the width as the recording paper 1 and has a myler film coated with a hot melting ink divided into color belts 6m, 6y and 6c of magenta, yellow and cyan respectively. The color belts each correspond roughly to one picture to be recorded on the recording paper 1 in terms of the area. The ribbon is pulled out of a roller 7 with a driving roller 9 and wound with a roller 11 after used. Current is fed to a heat generating section 12 in contact with the ink ribbon 6 from a driving control circuit through the paper 1 on the roller 4 to record pixels by heat transfer and the ribbon is returned each color is printed. In this manner, all colors are printed in superimposed fashion.
