Abstract

PURPOSE:To make tight the insulative material without applying the vibration from the outside, by vibrating the upper layer of the insulative material by means of a vibrator suspended by a hoist mechanism provided at the upper portion between the inner and outer tanks. CONSTITUTION:After filling the insulative material 6 in a gap 5 between the outer tank 2 and the inner tank 4 in a low temperature tank 1 of double shell structure to the predetermined height, a vibrating board 15 associated with a vibrator 16 supported by a hoist mechanism 11 at the upper portion of the gap 5 is lowered to the upper layer of the insulative material 6 then the vibrator 16 is operated to apply the vibration onto the insulative material 6. Upon reaching to the predetermined tightness, said board is once lifted then the insulative material is filled to the next predetermined height and to perform the similar conpacting work.
