Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the bottom of a hydraulic buffer from being hit, by providing a fluid passage in a piston rod and equipping the passage with a shutoff valve which closes when the speed of a piston has exceeded a prescribed level in the pushing process. CONSTITUTION:A spring bearer 7, which is screwed on the tip of a piston rod 1, is provided with a plurality of oil holes 10 extending in radial directions. The piston rod 1 is provided with an oil passage 11 which extends in the axial direction and communicates with the oil holes 10 of the spring bearer 7. The oil passage 11 communicates with an oil chamber A on the top of a piston through oil passages 11a extending in radial directions. A step 12 is provided at the lower end of the axial oil passage 11 of the piston rod 1. A cylindrical shutoff valve 13 is provided between the step 12 and the closed part of the spring bearer 7 so that the valve can slide in the axial direction. The valve 13 is normally pushed on the lower closed part of the spring bearer 7 by a coiled spring 14. The upper oil chamber A and a lower oil chamber B communicate with each other through the oil holes 10, 16 and the oil passages 11, 11a.
