Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture a film stuck glass product of high quality in a simple process without deteriorating the environment by coating a hot glass molding immediately after molding with a powder coating and by slowly cooling it while baking.
CONSTITUTION: A powder coating contg. glass powder with a low m.p. as a principal component is used. It has ≤550°C softening temp. and a smaller grain size than the thickness of a coated film, and the coefft. of thermal expansion is that of the matrix glass of a glass molding ±1.0×10-6/°C. The coating may be blended with a pigment. The glass molding is coated immediately after molding at 300W700°C temp. of the matrix glass. The coating method is electrostatic coating or other general method. By simultaneously carrying out baking and slow cooling after the coating, the process is further rationalized.
