PURPOSE:To perform the quality control of a video disk by detecting a drop-out signal from a regenerative signal and counting up the signal in every constant angle and constant track of a desk. CONSTITUTION:A video envelope signal T is extracted from a regenerative signal through an envelope detecting circuit 11. A signal T and an attenuation signal, the average of the signal T, are inputted to a comparator 15, which detects a part less than the signal level of an attenuating circuit 13 and generates a pulse relating to time width. A width discriminating circuit 16 defines and detects the falling level of the signal T and generates a pulse for the time width larger than the prescribed time width. A gate circuit controlling signal synchronized by a desk rotational angle detecting circuit 21 is formed from a signal outputted from a standard angle detecting circuit 22 and the vertical synchronizing signal. A gate circuit 17 makes a drop-out signal pass only at the high level of the control signal.
