Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a soldering iron compact and to prevent the oxidation of the member at the iron tip by containing a gas storage chamber and a battery in a handle, and forming a gas combustion chamber in the member of the iron tip. CONSTITUTION:A handle 1 has a liquefied gas storage chamber 2 provided with a packing port 3 therein, and is formed with a battery case 13 for contg. a battery 14. An iron tip member 4 consisting of copper or brass applied with a surface treatment for the purpose of preventing oxidation is mounted via a heat insulation pipe 5 to the leading end of the handle. A combustion chamber 6 having suction holes 7 and discharge holes 8 is formed in the mebmer 4. The liquefied gas is supplied from the chamber 2 through a flow rate regulator 11, a conduit 12, the pipe 5 and a conduit 9 out through a nozzle 10 into the combustion chamber, where it is ignited and burned by an ignition heater 17 connected to the battery 14 via a switch 15 and lead wires 16a, 16b whereby the member 4 is heated from the inside and soldering is accomplished with the iron tip part 4a.
