Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the number of rotation of a rotary body by a simple constitution, by providing reflecting plates on the rotary body which is arranged in a pipe wherein the fluid flows and rotated by the energy of the fluid, and utilizing the reflection of the light reflected by said reflecting plates. CONSTITUTION:A rotary shaft 10 of the rotary body 5 is supported by slipping bearings 8 and 9 attached to a pair of bearing holders 6 and 7 which are provided in the direction at a right angle with respect to the flowing direction of the fluid. The rotary body 5 has a plurality of blades so that it is rotated by the flow of the fluid. A plurality of the reflecting plates 13 are provided on the outer surface of the rotary body 5 with a constant interval being provided. A photosensor 14 of a detecting pipe 3 is provided at a position facing said reflecting plate 13. The photosensor 14 is connected to an optical fiber 17. The optical fiber 17 is connected to a light source 19 such as a light emitting element and a light receiving element 20 through a directional coupler 18. The light signal received by said light receiving element 20 is inputted to a counter 23. The flow rate and speed of the fluid and the presence or absence of the flow in the pipe are detected by the counted number by the counter 23.
