Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure the flexible vibration accurately even for a non-magnetic body or the rotary body in the surface of which slots are formed, by shielding a part of a beam from a light source by a vibrating body and detecting the passing beam by a photoelectric transducing element. CONSTITUTION:The light from the power source 5 is collimated by a collimator 6 and irradiated on the vibrating body 12 through a rectangular slit 11. The passing beam which is not shielded by the vibrating body 12 is conveyed on the photoelectric transducing element 14 by a lens 13, and the output is sent to a measuring circuit 17. Since the optical measuring method is used, the flexible vibration can be accurately measured even for the object to be measured which is the nonmagnetic body or the rotary body in the surface of which the slots are formed.
