Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the heat collecting efficiency within a temperature range usable for air conditioning in a flat plate type heat collector for use in the air conditioning by placing a grid-shaped protector on the upper part of a heat collecting cover made of a fluoroplastic film system. CONSTITUTION:The grid- or honeycomb-shaped protector 7 is placed on the upper part of the heat collector, while the plastic film 6, a heat collecting plate 3, and a heat collecting pipe 2 are arranged on the lower part thereof. The protector 7 is made of a high permeability resin such as FRP or an aluminum material of a high reflectivity. As the plastic film 6, the tetrafluoroethylene-pentafluoropropylene copolymer is used. This material has a so high permeability as about 95% and a high weather resistance. Accordingly, the solar energy collector thus constructed can provide a prominent heat collecting performance even at the heat collecting temperature high than about 90 deg..
