Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid trouble of selecting a transfer paper feed stand, and to reduce frequencies of paper supply, by preferentially using the stand having the largest amount of papers remaining when the transfer papers having a designated size are stored on many stands. CONSTITUTION:Transfer papers 2a-2c having the same size are stored on paper stacking stands 1a-1c, paper feed rollers 3a-3c are pressed into contact with the stacks of the papers, the rollers are moved up and down with guides, each amount of papers remaining is read as a change of the resistance value of a variable resistor through a vertical displacement transmitting means. The resistance value of each stand is compared with a specified controller, the stand having the largest amount of papers remaining is used preferentially, equalizing decrease of the papers of each stnd, thus permitting trouble of mode change due to the conventional preferential use of lower stands to be avoided, and frequencies of supplying the papers only to the lower stands to be reduced.
