An input of a switch circuit 4 is switched to the sigal supplied from the VTR5 or the signal of a camera by the output of the circuit 6 and according to the application of the DC voltage to the output terminal of the VTR5. At the same time, the circuit 7 detects whether or not the video signal is applied to the input terminal of the VTR5, and the circuit 4 is switched. Then the signal of the input terminal and the signal of the output terminal are applied to an electronic viewfinder 3 in case the video signal is applied and no video signal is applied respectively.
