Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a container convenient to be used while a car is travelling, by constructing the cover for the opening of a container body from two lids arranged side by side. CONSTITUTION:A first lid 14 and A second lid 15 are proveded to the opening 13 of the container body 12 of a console box 11, and a first lid 14 has upper and lower lids 16, 17. The lower lid 17 is integrally formed with the main body 12, and the upper lid 16 is attached by hinges 18 swingably in the direction normally to thin hinges 17a. If the box 11 is used as a cup stand, one's fingers are put in a recess 15a to open the first lid 14, then the upper lid 16 only is opened with the lower lid 17 remained as it is, and cup supports 19 are withdrawn from a storing section 27 and engaged with stoppers 21 to form in corporation with cup receiving holes 20 cup receivers. If it is desired to take things in or out the container body 12, one holds a knob 29 and can open the second lid 15, so that if the cup stands are in use, the things can be put in or taken out from the body 12 without desplacing the cups.
