Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of an optical fiber communication line as well as to avoid the deterioration of the transmission performance, by putting into a hollow member containing plural steel wire strands twisted together around it. CONSTITUTION:A wire rope main body 12 consists of a hollow member 16 made of a coil spring and plural steel wire strands 18 twisted together around the member 16. Then an optical fiber communication line 14 is put into the member 16 of the wire rope having the pretension applied. In such structure, the line 14 is never broken with no deterioration of to the transmission performance.
