Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively correct the distortion of a platelike sintered metallic body having a relatively small thickness by partially compressing the body with a high molecular composition with high elasticity to make the body flat. CONSTITUTION:An upper force plunger 3 is composed of a body part 4 made of steel and a surface part 5 made of high molecular composition with high elasticity such as nylon, and the compressing surface 5' of the part 5 is made smaller than the recess of a sintered member 1. A lower force plunger 6 is similarly made of high molecular composition such as nylon, and it is made slightly larger than the member 1. The plunger 6 is fixed on a base table 10 with a holder 9, the member 1 is set on the compressing surface 7 of the shallow recess 8 of the plunger 6, and the central part of the member 1 is compressed with the plunger 3. The upper plunger 3 is recessed upward, and the lower plunger 6 is protruded upward, yet since the peripheral part 1a of the member 1 is not restrained by the plunger 3, deforming force causing upward recessing is applied by the plunger 6, and the distortion of the member 1 is corrected in the reverse direction.
