Abstract
PURPOSE:To surely prevent overtemperature of a glow plug in an electric conduction control of the glow plug for a diesel engine, by instantaneously performing a temperature rise to lower limit temperature reqruied for perfect combustion and then reducing temperature rising speed. CONSTITUTION:If a key switch is placed to a side ST, a comparator C1 and timer T2 output H to turn on relaysIand III, and the relayIis directly connected to a battery to flow a large current in glow plugs G to perform a temperature rise to a perfect combustion lower limit in about 1sec. If the plug reaches the lower limit temperature, the comparator C1 outputs L to turn off the relayI. Here a timer T1 is operated to turn on the relay II and electrically conduct the plug through a resistor R1, and the temperature is gently increase to easily ensure accuracy of temperature control. In this way, the glow plug reaches perfect combustion suitable temperature, then the timer T1 is turned off to turn off the relay II, and the relay III electrically conducts the glow plugs through resultant resistors R1+R2, thus almost prescribed temperature can be held.
