Abstract

PURPOSE: To impart no excessive thermal load to the wet dust collector by supplying a pressure equalizing gas to a shaft furnace always through the wet dust collector to sufficiently raise the initial temp. of the wet dust collector.
CONSTITUTION: When a dry dust collector 12 is used to recover energy, a septum valve 4 is closed, a blocking valve 13 is opened, a blocking valve 14 is closed and a ring slit element 6 of a wet dust collector 3 is held to a partially opened position. The shaft furnace gas exhausted from a shaft furnace 1 is passed through the dry dust collector 12 through a coarse particle collector 2 to be supplied to a gas turbine 10 but a part of the shaft furnace gas is supplied to the shaft furnace 1 as a pressure equalizing gas from a pressure equalizing pipe 7 through the ring slit element 6 of the wet dust collector. By this mechanism, because the initial temp. of the wet dust collector 3 is raised, when an abnormal high temp. gas exceeding heat resistant temp. of the dry dust collector is introduced, even if the gas is changed over to the wet dust collector side, excessive thermal load is not imparted to the wet dust collector.
