Abstract
PURPOSE:To make reutilizability better and workability higher by providing a water tank below a torch, and recovering the swarf dropping therein from the water thereby suppressing the agglomeration and oxidation of the swarf. CONSTITUTION:Below roller conveyors 1, 1', the floor surface is dug and a water tank 3 is provided. The water tank 3 is located below a torch 2, and the swarf (a), (a)- produced during fusion cutting of ingots A, A by the torch 2 drop into the water 8 in the tank 3, whereby they are cooled. The cooled swarf (a), (a)- drop in the water in the state of grains and are contained into a receiving frame 4 by means of a guide plate 5. These are transferred in the frame 4 by the vane plates 7 of a continuously revolving chain conveyor 6. At the top end of the frame 4, they are charged and contained into a receiving box 13 by a charging frame 12.
