Abstract
PURPOSE:To utilize heat of absorption as a source for heating, by vaporizing an aqueous highly concentrated ammonium solution by the air, sea water or the like, and causing a mixture of the resulting ammonium gas with water vapor to be absorbed upon an aqueous lower concentrated ammonium solution. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous highly concentrated ammonium solution 3 is charged in a vessel 1, whereas an aqueous lower concentrated ammonium solution is charged in a verssel 2, and the vessels 1, 2 are connected via a conduit 5. A low temperature fluid 8 whose temperature is slightly higher than that of the ammonium solution 3 is allowed to flow to carry out heat exchange, and then the boiling temperature is so low that it is heated to start boiling. On the other hand, when a high temperature fluid 9 whose temperatue is slightly lower that of the solution 4 is allowed to flow to carry out heat exchange, owing to the higher boiling temperature of the ammonium solution 4, the ammonium solution 4 absorbs the steam evolved at the vessel 1. Accordingly, the calorie in the low temperature fluid 8 can be utilized as a source for heating of the high temperature fluid 9.
