Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve selective absorption and heat resistance of an obtained solar heat absorbing object, by forming a selective metal oxide layer on a composite covering layer composed of a metal matrix dispersed with particle like material on the surface of a substrate, further the thin plated layer on the surface.
CONSTITUTION: A composite covering layer 2 is formed by dispersing non- metallic or metallic particle in the metal matrix on the surface of a substrate 1. Then, the metal oxide layer 3 of CuO etc. providing selective absorption is formed on the surface of the layer 2. In this case the layer 3 is formed either by the chemical treatment after copper plating of the layer 2 or by attaching the CuO particle by electrophoresis. Then a thin plated layer 4 which does not cover perfectly the layer 3 is formed by electroplating. By this the aimed solar heat absorbing object can be obtained.
