Abstract
PURPOSE:To smoothly stop operation of an engine without causing emission of its unburned gas in the engine where liquid and gas fuels are combined in use, by switching the operation from gas to liquid prior to disconnection of a load when the engine is stopped. CONSTITUTION:When a stop signal A is fed in a normal state of gas fuel operation, the signal A branches into three systems, and one of them generates a liquid fuel operation signal to turn ON a stop solenoid 22 of a gas fuel pump 6, close a gas fuel shut-off valve 23, turn OFF a pilot injection solenoid 24 and close a bypass valve 25 of a supercharger 11 for a lapse of time T1 set by a timer. In this way, changeover to liquid fuel operation is performed. While the signal A operates a load disconnecting device 26 with the lapse of a certain time T2 by the action of a delay circuit in the different system, simultaneously operates a stop solenoid 21 of a liquid fuel pump 2 for the time from delay time T3 to a lapse of time T4 set by a timer, thus an engine is stopped.
