Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a heat accumulating body that is simple, safe and quick to operate and easy to handle, by covering a heat qenerating body that generates heat by the action of electromagnetic induction with a heat accumulating material and then sealing them in a sealed body made of a material permeable to magnetism.
CONSTITUTION: A heat generating body 3 that generates heat by the action of electromagnetic induction and a heat accummlating material 2 (e.g. paraffin wax) disposed in such a manner that it covers the body 3 are enclosed in a sealed body 1 made of a material (e.g. polycarbonate) that is heat resistant and permeable to magnestism. The heat generating body 1 is placed on an electromagnetic inductive heating device 4. The device 4 is energized to cause the body 3 to generate heat, thereby heating and melting the heat accumulating material 2. Thereafter, the energizing of the heating device 4 is stopped, and the sealed body 1 is transferred to an optional place, where it is used for room heating, high-temperature insulation and heating by its latent heat and sensible heat.
