Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the dispersibility, packing property, etc., of magnetic powder by adding a salt of dialkyl sulfosuccinate and a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer having epoxy groups to a magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic paint which contains magnetic powder, a salt of dialkyl sulfosuccinate and a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer having epoxy groups is applied over a base. For example, alkali metallic salt of dialkyl sulfosuccinate is dissolved in an adequate solvent, the preliminarly surface treatment of the magnetic powder is performed by adding the solution in the preparation of the magnetic paint or by dipping it in the solvent, and this magnetic powder is used to prepare the magnetic paint. In this case, a salt of dialkyl sulfosuccinate is mixed by preferably 0.1-5wt% to the magnetic powder in the magnetic layer.
