Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent turbulent flame from generating and reduce combustion noise of the burner by a method wherein a flame stabilizer, on which two kinds of small holes, one for combustion and the other for air supply, and a flame stabilizing ring positioned between said two kinds of the small holes are arranged, are provided within an air blast tube so as to cover a fuel injection nozzle. CONSTITUTION:In order to burn, fuel oil is jetted from a nozzle 6 and ignited with an ignition rod 8. At the same time, combustion air is supplied by means of a fan 2 through a draft passage formed between a fan case 3 and a burner base 1 in a blast tube 5. The combustion air is supplied through a straightening vane 15 within the blast tube 5 to the conical flame stabilizer 7 and past through the small holes 13 and 14 arranged on the flame stabilizer 7 into the interior of the flame stabilizer 7 in order to be burnt. In this case, flame stabilizing is formed at the small holes 14, serving as preheating the fuel oil and as well as preventing the turbulent back flow of the flame 20 formed in the flame stabilizer 7 from occuring. In addition, short flame 19 is formed at a negative pressure part 18 produced between the small holes 13 and the flame stabilizing ring 16, resulting in preheating and burning the fuel oil.
