Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable measuring of a discharge through transmitting of reflection light as a pulse amount, by a method wherein a detecting end surface of an optical fiber, which is formed through focusing of a projecting and a collecting optical fiber, is positioned facing and opposite to a rotor mounted to a reflecting substance. CONSTITUTION:A projecting fiber 5a and a collecting fiber 5b are monolithically built in an optical fiber substance 4, and a detecting end part 6 thereof is positioned facing and opposite to a measuring surface 2a of a rotor 2 rotating corresponding to a discharge. A reflecting substance 10 such as glass ball is mounted to the rotor 2. The constitution causes the light of the projecting fiber 5a to be reflected by the reflecting substance 10, and causes reflection light to be collected by the collecting fiber 5b. A pulse signal is fetched by means of a focusing part 9 to convert it into an electric signal to measure a discharge. If the reflecting substance and the detecting end part are increased in the number to a plural number and in the number of pulses to 2 or more, the precision is further improved.
