Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the mixing of fuel and air and contrive to atmoize the fuel by a method wherein a cylindrical body, encircling a fuel injection nozzle for a injection valve and being extended to the forward direction thereof, is provided to inject the pressurized air to the substantially tangential direction of a mixing chamber formed in the cylindrical body. CONSTITUTION:The injection valve 22 is so constituted that a piston 25 is attracted against a spring 26 when an electromagnetic coil 21 is charged and the fuel, flowing from a passage 39 into a valve chamber 31, is sent out of an oblique passage 33 in an introducing member 29 to the fuel injection nozzle 34 of a cap 30 by the separation of a valve body 27 from a valve seat 28. In this case, a plurality of air nozzles 37, being elongated to the substantially tangential direction of the cylindrical body 35 fixed to the tip end of a main body 23 and inclined toward the nozzle 36, are provided to inject the compressed air supplied from an air passage 42 and produce an air stream whirling downwardly and spirally in the mixing chamber 43. The mixing of the fuel and air may be effected well by this whirling air stream and the atomization of the fuel may be promoted.
