Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect positively the magnitude of current and avoid employment of elements of large power consumption by connecting a drive coil of an electromagnetic actuator in series with the line between a switching element and a current detecting resistor. CONSTITUTION:A driving coil 4 is connected in series with the line between transistor (Tr) 7 and a current detecting resistor 6 and a diode 16 is disposed between a connection point between the transistor Tr7 and the coil 4 and an earth potential point. When the current is applied to the transistor Tr7, it flows in that order of power source + B resistor 6 earth diode 16 close loop of coil 4, and it serves to discharge the electromanetic energy stored in the inductance of the coil 4. According to such a constitution, the current value can be detected by the resistor 6 even when surge current is applied, and since no element comsuming large power is included in the current path, a fault due to heat generation can be avoided.
