Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable editing function, the shortest movement of a platen and others by fully automatic printing operation from searching characters in a type tray to the completion of print out only with an input command from a keyboard. CONSTITUTION:A platen 14 loaded with a recording paper 12 is arranged in a type case 10 and near it. An input command input from a keybord 22 covers and controls an electric type case driving mechanism 16 adapted to control the movement of the type case 10 so as to position a desired type at the printing position, an electric printing mechanism 18 for printing and an electric platen driving mechanism 20. A printing command is distribued to individual functions through a signal distributer 24 and can be stored in a memory section 26 simultaneously. Depending on the contents memorized in the memory section 26, the shortest movement of the platen and editting work are made possible each time printing is performed.
