Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the arithmetically processable measurement of fuel consumption efficiency possible by obtaining unit flow rate pulses from a fuel flow rate sensor an unit speed pulses from a traveling speed sensor, respectively, and counting the speed pulses per unit flow rate pulse. CONSTITUTION:The fuel consumption of a car is detected with a fuel pulse isolator 19, and 1-cc gate pulses are formed via a flip-flop 23 and are outputted to counters 28, 30. Also, the speed of the car is detected with a speed pulse isolator 24, and 0.1-m pulses are formed via a car kind selection circuit 26 consisting of programmable frequency dividers, and are outputted to the counters 28, 30. The respective outputs of the counter 30, a counter 32 counting the 100- m pulses of a counter 31, a counter 35 for 1-minute pulses, and a counter 36 counting the outputs of the counter 31 are inputted to an output register 37. With such constitution, fuel efficiency (km/l) is determined by the counter 28, and the fuel consumption, mileage and traveling speed are determined by the register 37.
