Abstract
PURPOSE:To generate copper ion for preventing the adhesion of oceanic lives in an insulated state from the main body of a steel hull by covering the surface of an outside plate with the first laver of paints or adhesives, the second layer of paints, adhesives, and metal oxide, and the third layer of an outside plate of copper or the like metal. CONSTITUTION:The surface of an outside plate 2 of a hull or the like is covered with the first layer 3 with paints or adhesives applied, the second layer 4 thereon with the mixture of paints or adhesives and metal oxide applied, or metal oxide sprayed after paints or adhesives are applied and before they are hardened, and the third layer 5, upon said layers, of metal compound of copper or copper alloy. In this construction, copper ion is generated on the surface of the outside plate of the hull in an insulated state from the main body 2 of the steel for preventing the adhesion of oceanic lives.
