Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the misgrip, or the fault in copy paper gripping, instantaneously in a copy paper conveyor, by bringing electrodes to the position where the copy paper gripped by the conveyor is to be present and by detecting the misgrip from presence or obsence of the electric conductivity. CONSTITUTION:A detective portion 10 is equpped with a pair of slender contacts 11 and 12 of the same shape. These contacts 11 and 12 are placed at intervals of several millimeters and in parallel with each other, and the tops of them are fixed to the end faces of an insulating board 13 placed horizontally. The insulating board 13 is installed on the inner wall of a box 14 made of insulating material via a spring 15 and allowed to make free vertical movement. While bottom ends 11A and 12A of contacts 11 and 12 are pressed up by an object placed underneath, contacts 11B and 12B projecting from the top ends of the contacts 11 and 12 come into contact with a pair of contacts 16 and 17 placed above 11B and 12B. And the contacts 11 and 12 are placed at the fore end of the regular paper-position.
