Abstract

PURPOSE:To mold a desired mold having sufficient hardness accurately by forming compressed air flow in molding and precompressing the molding sand then further squeezing the entire part of the molding sand by using a squeezing plate. CONSTITUTION:A pattern plate 1, a molding flask 9 and a filling flask 10 are superposed on a table 5' which is moved upward and downward by means of a cylinder 5. Molding sand is supplied through a feed port 17 into the flask 9 and the flask 10. Thence, a cover member 11 having a squeeze plate 13 in the inside is moved to the upper part of the flask 10, and said cylinder 5 is extended to clamp the cover member 11, the flask 9, etc. by means of the ceiling part 16 of a base plate 4 and the plate 1. Thence, a stop valve 8 is closed, and compressed air is supplied into a hermetic chamber 30 until the pressure attains about 5 kg/cm<2>. Thence, a stop valve 14 is closed and the valve 8 is opened to release the compressed air in the chamber 30 through the inside of the molding sand, air release holes 6, 6, a hollow chamber 3, a piping 7, etc. Further, a cylinder 12 is extended to lower the plate 13, thereby sequeezing the molding sand.
