Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a horizontal synchronizing signal to a signal of normal frequency by separating the horizontal synchronizing signal from the reproduction output of a rotary head and controlling the velocity of a speed servo system by detecting the frequency shift of the synchronizing signal to a normal frequency. CONSTITUTION:A reproduction output supplied from a rotary head via an input terminal 33 is applied to an FM demodulator 35, whose output is supplied to a reproduction system for a video signal and also inputted to a synchronous separating circuit 36. A horizontal synchronizing signal Ph separated by the circuit 36 is supplied to a slope generating circuit 39 via monostable multivibrators 37 and 38 and a gate 40 samples a slope signal SV1 by the signal Ph. The output of the gate 40 is applied to a holding circuit 41, which generates and supplies a velocity control signal SV2 for a picture search to a changeover switch 15. Then, the output of a phase servo circuit 3 controlling a head drum motor 1 is controlled to shift the horizontal synchronizing signal to a normal frequency.
