Abstract

PURPOSE:To reproduce musical signals with fidelity, without the limitation of noise of recording media and dynamic range, by encoding required constituent for music digitally and recording it and demodulating reproduced codes into a synthesized musical tone. CONSTITUTION:Switches 11A and 11B are provided between an operation section 1 and a musical tone synthesizer 2 of an electronic musical instrument 4', and a recorder and reproducer 5' is switched and connected to and from each other. Constituents required for music such as scale, tone and tempo are digitally encoded at an encoding section 7, recorded at a recording and reproducing mechanism 8, and at reproducing time, reproduced codes are demodulated to a required form to drive the section 2 at a demodulator 9 and reproduced at a speaker 6. Thus, since recording and reproduction are made by digital codes, noise generated by a recording medium and limitation of the dynamic range can not give effect, allowing the same reproduction as live playing.
