Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the calculation of slip speed by using a system in which rotation period on input and output sides is measured by the pulse of frequency proportional to two powers of rotation speed on input side or output side, and from the difference between the measured values, slip speed is detected. CONSTITUTION:The pulse of the rotation speed Ne of engine is sent to a counter 124, and the pulse of the rotation speed Nt of turbine is sent to a counter 125. A function generator 126 receiving the engine rotation speed Ne sends out a voltage proportional to the two power of the speed Ne, and the voltage is converted into a clock pulse having a frequency proportional to the two power of the speed Ne by a converter 127 and then sent to the counters 124 and 125. The pulse widths of the engine rotation speed and the turbine rotation speed are counted by the high-frequency clock pulse, the difference in the count values is measured by a differential amplifier 128, and the slip speed is calculated.
